IQhub Explores Michigan Made with “Mitten to Table” Exhibit This Summer

SAINT JOHNS, MI – The IQhub is thrilled to announce its exciting summer exhibit, Mitten to Table, open May 12th, 2026 through August 21st, 2026. This immersive exhibit will allow visitors to plunge into the story of where their food comes from, and how close to home some of their favorite food’s origins are. Follow the IQhub on Facebook or through the website for more information on special events that go along with this exhibit.

Dig into the stories of both well-known and up-and-coming Michigan food brands through a collection of products, photographs, news clippings, and other items that celebrate these brands’ histories and current stories.

Visitors will gain insight into the vital role Michigan’s agriculture plays in the food we all enjoy, and the way it has and continues to sustain some of the most notable names in the food industry.

Exhibit Highlights:

  • Event Days: Exciting, focused event days with trivia games, craft activities, and the chance to sample the item of the day. Join us for National Fudge Day, National Ice Cream Day, and Faygo Day.
  • Agricultural Connection: Discover the crucial link between the food brands you know and love, and the local farms that make it all possible.
  • Tangible History: Experience a direct connection to the stories told through authentic objects that allow a glimpse into the past.

The following brands will be highlighted during the Mitten to Table Exhibit: JIFFY Mix, Koegel Meats, Better Made Snacks, Kellogg’s, McClure’s Pickles, Fat Baby Hot Sauce, as well as some very local names you already know and love. Many of these brands have partnered with the IQhub to allow us to borrow products, merchandise, and other materials, while others have given them as donations to the exhibit.

The Mitten to Table special exhibit is included with the free admissions to the IQhub. The IQhub is open to the public Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Located at 1130 S. Dewitt Rd., St. Johns, MI 48879, the IQhub is a non-profit organization dedicated to agricultural history, innovation, and exploration. This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to explore Michigan’s rich heritage in the food industry.
