Birch-Bark Basket Making Class

On Thursday, August 18th from 5 pm to 8 pm, the IQhub is excited host a special event for our Native American Guest Exhibit. Keith Knecht, of Cheboygan, will teach you how to make your own birch-bark basket using traditional Native American tools or you can just watch and listen to Keith as he talks about their history. Various Native American tribes sewed pieces of birch bark together to make baskets to carry water, food and other supplies. Join us for a fun night!!!
Also, don’t forget to swing by to visit the vendors at the IQhub’s Summer Market, which will be going on that same day from 3 pm to 8 pm. Join us for a special, week-night Summer Market on the grounds of the IQhub museum and corporate headquarters of AgroLiquid in St Johns. This outdoor vendor event is open to vendors of all types. As always, admission to the IQhub is free to the public. The IQhub is open weekly Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and 10 am to 8 pm on July 20th and August 18th.
